about donald
Throughout my career, I've designed a diverse array of experiences, spaces, and partnerships where if you saw it, heard it, touched it, or engaged with it... I brought it to life.
Since graduating from the University of Alabama, I have cultivated a dynamic and impactful career focused on creating vibrant public spaces and innovative experiences that drive positive physical, social, and economic impact.
I currently serve as Executive Director of Gatton Park on the Town Branch in Lexington, Kentucky, where I oversee the operations, programming, community engagement, and strategic vision for Lexington’s first urban green space. Drawing on more than a decade of industry experience, I helped support the park's opening and continue to oversee the development of operational standards, guest experiences, community partnerships, and long-term impact initiatives that position the park as a vital and sustainable civic and cultural destination.
I began my career in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, playing a central role in the development, operations, and programming of key City venues, including the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, supporting cultural and entertainment initiatives that enhanced community life and economic activity.
After relocating to Texas, I transitioned into leadership roles focused on managing large-scale public venues. As Director of Programming & Events at Waterloo Greenway in Austin and Event Coordinator at Discovery Green in Houston, I oversaw hundreds of events, activations, and partnerships that fostered meaningful community connections, engaged diverse audiences, and generated significant economic opportunities.
With more than a decade of experience leading public spaces, producing large-scale events, developing operational strategies, and designing unique visitor experiences, my career has been defined by innovation, collaboration, and community impact. I remain passionate about leveraging parks and public spaces as catalysts for connection, culture, and lasting positive change.
